How a visit works

Four steps. No surprises.

Most of what people dislike about calling a tradesperson comes down to not knowing what happens next. So here is exactly what happens next.

  1. Tell us what is wrong

Call or send the quote form. We ask a few plain questions and book a visit window that suits you.

  2. We arrive when we said

You get a text when the van sets off. Boot covers on, floor sheets down, and a proper look at the problem.

  3. A fixed price before any work

You see the price in writing and decide. No work starts until you say yes, and the price does not move.

  4. Fixed, tested and tidy

We test everything with you, clear up after ourselves and leave a short written record of what was done.

Questions

Asked at most front doors.

Something else on your mind? Call (555) 010 0199 and ask. There is no charge for a straight answer.

How quickly can someone come out?

For most repairs we offer a visit the same day when you call before 11 am, and the next morning otherwise. Emergencies such as no heat in winter or an active leak go to the front of the line at any hour.

Do you charge to give a quote?

Quotes for new installs and replacements are free. For repairs there is an $89 diagnostic visit, and that amount comes off the bill if you go ahead with the work.

Will the price change once the work starts?

No. You get a fixed price in writing before any work begins. If we find something unexpected we stop, show you, and agree a new price before carrying on.

Are your technicians licensed and insured?

Yes. Every technician is licensed for the work they carry out and the company carries full liability cover. Ask to see either at the door and we will gladly show you.

What brands do you work on?

All the common makes of furnace, boiler, heat pump, air conditioner and water heater. If yours is unusual, tell us the model when you book and we will bring the right parts.

Is the work guaranteed?

Repairs carry a 12 month guarantee on parts and labor. New equipment carries the maker warranty plus two years of our own labor cover.
