Recreation and rentals.

We run a jet ski rental business ourselves, so we know the questions that come in before every booking. Here is what we would build for a boat, kayak, bike or gear rental, a guided tour or an outdoor attraction.

From your side

What a rental business needs from its website.

Written the way a rental owner would put it. We are one.

  • People book from a phone, often the same day

They are already at the lake or planning the weekend from the couch. Prices, what is included and the button to book have to be right there on a small screen.

  • The same questions come in all season

How old a rider has to be, what to bring, what happens if it rains, where to meet. The site should answer them before anyone has to call or message us.

  • Booking should not need a phone call

We are out with customers, not at a desk. People should be able to pick a time, pay or leave a deposit, and get the details without waiting on us.

  • The season changes everything

Opening day, holiday hours, a new launch spot, a closed day for weather. A change like that should be on the site the same day, without rebuilding anything.

Studio project

Jet Ski 502

We designed and built the site and the booking flow for our own jet ski rental business. The home page opens on a rider on the water behind the round Jet Ski 502 logo, with the questions page, the merch page and Book Now in the menu. Below that, a countdown marks the launch at Waterfront Park.

Jet Ski 502 is a business the studio owns and runs, so this is our own project and not client work.

  • Book Now in the menu and as a red button in the corner of the screen
  • A page of frequently asked questions, one tap from the top of the site
  • A countdown and an open notice for the launch location
  • Merch and contact pages beside the rental information

Process

How a project runs.

  1. Talk it through

A short call about how your rental business runs and what the site has to do.

  2. Written scope

Pages, features and the price in writing before any work begins.

  3. Design and build

You review real pages, not just mockups, and send feedback in rounds.

  4. Launch and handoff

Domain connected, files delivered, accounts in your name. Care is optional.

Questions

Before you ask.

Have you built a rental website before?

Yes, our own. Jet Ski 502 is a jet ski rental business the studio owns and runs, and we built its site and its booking flow. We have not yet built a rental site for a client, so that is the example we can show you.

Can customers book and pay on the site?

Yes, through a booking tool set up in an account you own. One standard setup or embed of an existing booking provider is included with Business Website and is $150 with the other packages. A custom booking engine is a larger piece of work and is scoped and quoted after a call.

Can the site collect waivers?

We would connect the waiver tool you choose, so customers can sign before they arrive, and link it from the booking steps. The wording of the waiver comes from you or your attorney. We do not write legal documents.

What does a rental website cost?

Our website packages have published prices. Business Starter is $500 for one scrolling page, which can cover a single rental with its prices and a button to book, and Business Website is $700 for up to five pages. Anything beyond a package is written into the scope with its price before work begins. See pricing

What happens to the site when the season ends?

It stays up, and it should say plainly that you are closed and when you expect to open again. With a care plan, notices like that are small edits we make for you. Without one, changes are quoted at the hourly rate. See care plans

We rent more than one thing. Can the site show each one?

Yes. Each rental can have its own section or its own page with the price, what is included and its own button to book. Business Website covers up to five pages, and each additional standard page is $100.

Who owns the booking account and the website?

You do. The booking, payment and waiver accounts are opened in your name, you own your domain, and after full payment you receive the agreed custom code and deliverables, subject to any third party licenses.

Tell us about your rental business.

We will reply with a clear next step and a written scope.
